Special Court rejected the bail plea of Rhea Chakraborty
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on 8 Sept. She is currently in judicial custody. NCB started an investigation after the ED had found Drug consumption and procurement-related chats.
Today a special court rejected the bail plea of actress Rhea Chakraborty & others who arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) within the connection of drug consumption and procurement, case pertaining to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Judge G B Gurao rejected the bail application hearing case under the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant & Samuel Miranda bail application even have been rejected by a special court in Mumbai. Atul Sarpande, Special Public Prosecutor had also opposed the bail and said Showik arranged and financed the drugs.
The Bail Application of Rhea said that she has no drugs or any psychotropic substance have been seized from her and therefore the allegation, if any, would pertain in very small quantities. In Application, there’s nothing on record to clear that Rhea Chakraborty was involved in any way with the financing of illicit traffic and offender within the relation of drugs.
After getting two cloning phones from Rhea Enforcement Directorate shared the information to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), NCB found a drug angle during this case under the criminal section of the NDPS Act.
NCB, ED, and CBI all are found in various angles within the death case of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He found dead on 14 June at his flat located in Bandra, Mumbai.
Narcotics Control Bureau has opposed the bail application before the hearing and said Showik Chakraborty’s brother of Rhea Chakraborty supplies the drugs and active member of the drug syndicate. NCB Official said if showik released in bail, he may temper the evidence and also try to win with the witness by using their position and money power.
“Accused Rhea Chakraborty has acknowledged their statements and her role explained. During the statement present accused Rhea Chakraborty revealed her involvement in the procurement of drug and financial transactions and also her instructions to Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant, and applicant Showik Chakraborty in this regard. Therefore it is clear from the statement that the applicant is an active member of a drug syndicate connected with drug supplies,” the NCB had said in its response to the bail application of the accused.
