Recruitment of 31,661 Assistant Teachers will complete within a week

A UP Gov spokesperson said results of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held a year ago and the resulting court requests would be the support for filling opportunities. While the test was held for 69,000 opportunities, just 31,661 posts would be filled according to a Supreme Court request, which said all seats aside from those posts of remain assistant teachers held by Shiksha Mitras can be filled.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): In a significant announcement for teaching job competitors in Uttar Pradesh, more than 31,000 applicants are good to go to get selected for vacant posts of 31661 Assistant Teachers. According to the notice, the recruitment of assistant teachers will be completed within seven days.

A meeting with all departments and commissions which are answerable for the recruitment has been called on September 21 in which the Chief Minister will audit other vacancies in each department and draw up an activity plan to fill posts within a half year.

A day after CM Yogi Adityanath asked the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department to recruit 31661 Assistant Teachers within seven days, Also said that the up government was committed to giving enough employment opportunities and jobs to the youth.

“Basic education department conducted the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the recruitment of 69,000 teachers on January 6, 2019. A day later, the government fixed a 65% cut-off for general category candidates and 60% for backward and other reserved categories. The order was challenged by some students in the high court, which has given its judgment,” the UP Gov spokesperson said.

“Deciding on a special leave petition (SLP), the Supreme Court, on May 21, 2020, directed the state government to complete the recruitment process on all posts except those of assistant teachers which are held by Shiksha Mitras,” the official said.
